Dream Estate is an animated GIF I made for the group exhibition "Things I Have Seen From my Window, Things I Have Seen From my Window" at Edmond de Rothschild Center, Tel Aviv and curated by Hila Shaltieli and Sofia Paks. While preparing the exhibition, the participating designers held group meetings which allowed me to share, recieve advice from, and give feedback to my peers.
In this work, I focused on creating an intimate home as I know it that conveys my family's intricacies and nuances from an external and exposed point of view. The characters are inspired by and based upon my parents, siblings, and the animals that are an integral part of our home.
I arranged the composition to convey the density and quantity of family members. Each person is simultaneously in their own world, individually performing a repetitive action, and yet they all are what make up the, at times cacophonous but ultimately harmonious, home that I grew up in.
